When I try to export my map it says no actors found?
How do I fix

Yes i fixed it but now when I open sapien to put in the radiosty the map isn't there. It says can not teleport camera to structure bsp.

it is there. just look around for it.
or place your level at 0,0,0 in gmax/3dsmax , and have the frame quite close.

1) how do i set it to 0,0,0

2) How do import a map so i can animate phantoms

3) How do get parts of a bsp to use.

4) How do I make my own bitmaps. I know u can do it in paint but its a bit hard.

1) Click the map's bsp. Then double-click the move tool and set the position values to 0,0,0.
2) Just use your bsp in max and animate relative to it.
3) Use the BSP Tag Convertor and copy parts into your bsp.
4) I base my bitmaps off of existing ones either from Halo or from the internet. I use a tool called Paint.NET to make good bitmaps.

1) I dont get this one.
2) But muscl3r has the map where using because im having some problems. E.g putting multiple types of bitmaps on a part of the map and actully a city map.
3) Ok will get. When internet goes normal agian. (stupid 3gb for $40 rip-off)
4) same as 3.

1) What it says. Select the bsp and everything else you need, double-click the move tool, and a window should pop up. Set the values to 0,0,0.
2) Get the map from him?...
3) and 4) OK.

headnoob i'll send u the map and soona s i get a decent amount of ai done and when i get the tasg from hydrogen and when i fix the command lists and a whole lot of other stuff. It is actually quite terrible at the moment. Well i guess having been working on it for two days it isn't that bad. Will get rid of ur odst allies tho. They do nothing. They stand around or u'll find them running at a wall for no apparent reason

If you already have stuff in place in Sapien, DON'T reposition the map, it will make you have to redo all your Sapien placements.

Also headnoob, there are some random half fences that just ruin the map. If you could get rid of these it would fix up one of the ai's command lists that is just not working at all

Gotta get atleast the first set of enemies done first. Added hydro on xfire so should be getting the smg pretty soon

Some new problems.
1) How do I add more then one texture to the map. Eg the hill is grassy and the walls are rocky etc.
2)Gmax now is not working. I open it then it opens and stops then says this program has stopped. Then closes. I chnaged the prefences that it allows the maxiscript to run big maps.

When I run Bluestreak exporter. I get Zombies do not have brains. No I lie. Its comes up with Unkown property:"name" is underfined.

Now it says runtime error. Out of scripter memory. I set it to 1000 its max and it gets up by 24 percent. The map is 10000 by 10000 by 2000

in gmax there should be some kinda options or prefrences or something like that...go to the Maxscript tab and set the allocation heap size to 100 or something...a number higher then that.


just try 3ds max, even though it's not free you can use the 30 day trial

Make the heap size big.
If you cannot open gmax again, search the forums for heap size errors.

no. Y would i get a 30 day trail i wont even use it. Ill just make the map smaller maybe.
