Okay I have a quick question, I'm starting to make a map, but I DON't want your player to have ANY energy shields at all. How do you remove it? I have looked all through guerilla in the .hud_interphase tag and have found nothing. Do you do this though scripting? Or is it part of a tag I can edit in guerilla? I know there is a multiplayer game types where you can remove the shields, but this is for single player.

Try making a player starting profile in sapien. I think you can set the starting health and shield there. I think you might also need a startup script to load the profile. I am pretty sure this is the command you should use in the script.
(player_add_equipment ) adds/resets the player's health, shield, and inventory (weapons and grenades) to the named profile. resets if third parameter is true, adds if false. Edited by Juan on Dec 10, 2010 at 07:48 PM I go under the starting profile in sapien, and under shield it allows me to numbers, 0 or 1. If it is set at 1, you start at full shields. If at 0, you will spawn with no low shields that recharge. I don't really understand that script either, what does "boolean" mean? I know what everything else means. Thanks!

Sorry I do not usually solve problems, but uhh there might be a different way. Try opening the cyborg's unit_hud_interface tag in Guerilla. Scroll all the way to hud warning sounds. You can probably delete all of them, except health_low_heart. Now since there is no sound for low shields you can make a startup script using this command.
(units_set_maximum_vitality (players) 75 0)
Edit: Boolean is a yes or no variable. The values can be 0, false, and off, or 1, true, and on.
Edit2: To get the hud for the shield to disappear completely you should also use this command in the startup script. (hud_show_shield )
Edited by Juan on Dec 10, 2010 at 08:33 PM Okay, thanks the shields are not on the hud anymore, but there still there. Also I can't seem to find the cyborg's .unit_hud_interface tag. Am I looking in the wrong spot? I'm in: Tags\characters\cyborg Edited by pepzee on Dec 11, 2010 at 12:12 PM

Wait, do you want me to open the .biped or the .model_collision_geometry? I can't find a section just name collision under the .biped. There is something called "camera, collision, and autoaim. however that section doesn't have a link to the recharging affect. It doesn't have to do with shields at all. This is the biped I'm looking at:

okay, I did what you said in the picture above. The shields are gone, but the meter is still there. Also that annoying beeping sound when the shields are gone. What else do I have to delete?
