so why were there multiple signatures when there's one elite?
Also, don't say the elite killed them all because 2 or 3 normal marines can take down a major.
unless most of them died and he finished off the survivors.

While it would be more conventional to launch a fleet, the UNSC is thinly stretched with battles all over various theaters of war. In addition, a Covenant Assault Carrier has taken position in geostationary orbit, so you're on your own.

The UNSC frigate Remorse launches your Pelican and another carrying support on the dark side of the planet, far enough from the lethal Assault Carrier on the other side. Due to the weight of your prototype armor, your pelican only holds yourself and Keyes. The other contains 12 elite marines from the 206th Environmental Combat unit. On the trip down, however, their pelican takes damage from an unexpected blizzard and crashes. Once deployed, your HUD displays the last known position of the other team. Your first objective is to find the marines, and continue the mission.

After evading several patrols, you notice multiple heat signatures over the next hill. Despite Keyes's warnings you sprint to the downed Pelican, where the Marines lay dead. An elite major spots you and dashes to a communications tower, and you promptly snipe him dead. Keyes informs you that now you have one sniper bullet remaining.

Thats all I have right now. Nothing special pepzee, truthfully idk about credit because I didn't make it in the first place :/

1) Human corpses still last quite a while, so you calculated the last known position, gasped, and sprinted.

2) Ok, lets make it that 5 of them died in the crash, and the elite is an Ultra. She has, or had 10 Unggoy under her command in addition to two of the patrols you encountered earlier.

This elite, Ikka Serumee is actually a female, because I like some variety :/ Probably just going to make her worts sound higher or something.

She was minding her own business at the forward outpost, reading reports from the patrols. The ten of here grunts were dicking around with fire and plasma nades, when suddenly an out of control pelican crashes near her. Around a minute and a half later the grunts, being their idiot selves, decide to investigate. This is fine by Ikka because she presumes anything on there would be dead anyway, and doesn't bother to report it.

However, the back door busts open and the seven marines file out and begin firing at the grunts, eventually wrestling with them. Ikka is not visible because of her white armor, but it doesn't faze her that her grunts are in the way and she begins firing (The plasma bolts adding to the heat signatures), and this leaves only the two grunts that are STILL dicking around with fire and none of the marines alive. Ikka doesn't report it, because, anyway, they're dead. However, she notices a faint outline in the fog, and sprints toward the communications. Dawn snipes her, but due to the shielding she falls, but only suffers from a concussion, so Keyes forces her to march with you, because you can never have too many elite POWs.

Sorry about the new thing, once I personalize a character I can't bear to kill them ^^;

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to change my story now. I don't know about all that detail it will require a lot of scripting to do all of that

I'm a N00B! I use the HEK+ to extract maps into a scenario. However that .MAX file that I'm trying to use as our BSP, I don't know how to convert it into a scenario. Can anyone help me with that issue?

I do have some scripting knowledge, most of it was obtained from this thread:

All that is, is the basics, checkpoints, cutscenes, music, objectives, and other stuff. I think that knowledge in that one article is enough to get a basic stealth mission done.

Ah that would be cool. Where would I find one? Also for caption Keyes biped I've run into a problem. I have him in his Captain suit, like this:

The problem is that he is a cinematic tag. And I can't use him.

Even better if CMT could give me SPV1's captain Keyes. With him in the white uniform.

Sergeant_Major, while I have you here, I have had a tough time turning that custom BSP you made into a scenario file. I have been reading many tutorials on how to run the .max file though tool, but haven't had any luck. Can you help me with this?

Okay, do I have to have 3ds max to do this? Because all I have is gmax.
Also if you are willing to make captain Keyes biped that would be great!

Okay, the problem is that you gave me a 3ds max file, that I can't open in gmax to export it into halo.

I could care less how long it takes you to make the KEyes model. Just as long as you are willing to do it. Because the more custom stuff the better(most of the time).

Okay, I learned a little more. There is no importer for .max to .gmax. There is one for a .3ds to a gmax though. I didn't see a .obj to .gmax importer though.

What, there is no assassinguy in the forums.

Further more isn't assassinchief, the guy who got into the huge flame war with dennis a few days ago? Didn't he want to be banned? Why would he make another account? Further more I don't have an xfire, even if I did I would not give it to him. I got in a flame war with him on the NGMT page.

@Sergeant_Major Do you have another type of file for the BSP, A .MAX file I cannot open in Gmax. But I can open .3DS, .OBJ, .GMAX and a few others.

I would not know, because I just learned what polies are. I'm not sure if I mentioned this but this is a three level mission. Coldsnap is only used for the assignation of Flipyap. That BSP you made would be for stealth-ing around. If you could some how increase the size, like change the perimeter or area of the height map it would work better though.

Hmm... Wait having more polygons is a bad thing right? I wonder how Tiamat got coldsnap so huge without that may polygons.

Anyway, if you can't figue out how to reduce the polygons. The smaller one would be fine. You just have to send it to me in a different format.

Well... to be honest, for the past 3 years I've been playing coldsnap, I've never realized the mountains were that bad until now. Better textures, maybe? I don't know I'm just coming up with stuff.

Coldsnap looked bad becuase it didn't use many polygons on the terrain and those spiky mountain things.

What people are calling 'normal' is probably what the h1 standards are (and that was a long time ago).
