i have to admit i looked at the title and thought nooo, not another blood gulch.but this could be interesting, the sand looks better than the normal ground.fixing the hash edges on the caves would be another good idea.

why not just retexture it with your choice of bitmap and then (if) your using 3ds just raise the specular level and glossiness.that would give you proper shine, but do you acutaly mean mirrored?

that's true but surely better texture's would look better than the points and edges that surround b/gulch,waffles mentioned he's good with texture's so hopefully this is the way he's going with his idea.

I think this is a great idea, but it will probably be quite hard. It'd probably be easier to just remake Bloodgulch, as when I tried to change it's textures using texmod, it totally messed up. I'd hate to think what HEK might do to it...

I say relight the map as well, and give it some cool lighting effects around and inside the bases, as well as inside the caves.
That's just me though....

You know why that rock is there right? It's the sniper's rock. Really. Beep it there. It is where I ALWAYS snipe from at the Red base.

Keep the rock. I like the rock. I'm gonna keep it and pet it and name it George.

Well if he removes that rock you can always run far back up to the end of the map on red's side, it's also a good sniper spot. Btw if/when you finish this remake give it a name related to blood.

For sniper spots, put in a nasty shrub that u can go stand in like the one to the right of blue base. Once i was playing and blue had snipers everywhere including that shrub and us reds were getting wasted. Turns out blue was a bunch of hackers cos they were up on the top of the map aswell

I like that little rock near the cliffs on blue's right-hand side. It's small enough to see and shoot over, but large enough to hide a crouching player. I just pop up and down behind it... until someone shoots from a better angle or lobs a grenade at me.

Well i stand behind something then lag moves me out in the open and i just get popped by a sniper. Lag sucks so i don't go on mp much. If any map i usually play on sidewineder or cops and robbers on infinity
