If someone doesn't learn to make things by themselves, and instead just keep reusing and abusing existing maps, then that tells us a lot about their understanding of what it means to have a good time playing a game.

This place shouldn't be, in my opinion, a forum where little kids below the age of 13 learn how to make video game content from the bottom up, because then it won't matter if u let people rip or not. 9 year olds aren't going to 12th grade, because they are no where near capable of doing that type of work, so why should inexperienced idiotic failure attempts at modders be taken seriously on this website? They obviously don't know what they're doing, yet you expect them to have the capacity of a "12th grader". You all think that people who have no clue about what's considered fun in a game are going to be able to come up with something brilliant, which puzzles me.

There are still crap maps out there that are only 200 polys and have overused tags, but lets be real here. If I download a useless box map with a bunch of stock weapons crammed into it, do you honestly think I'm going to spend time playing it? If I don't play it, how am I going to get tired of the same weapons used over and over in a map?

The only maps I actually do play are the stock maps, because those actually have some thought put into their design. But I never get tired of the weapons, it just gets funner as I get better with that set of weapons.

The same goes for anything else in the tagset. Idc about maps that overuse them. I won't get tired of them because I won't actually play them, common sense. When I see a good map with thought put into it, then I'll play it, and that's when I actually get to experience how the tags come together ingame, not when I see screenshots on halomaps of box maps.

This two of you seem to have a fascination with the male genitalia. And any possible contribution to the discussion you might have wished to make has been rendered mote by it.

you may be trying to be nice, but if I gave half a crap about this engine anymore I'd start ripping just because I can, and find endless amusement in watching the anti-rippers drop huge dramabombs when they can't do anything about it.

Back when I joined there wasn't many, if any rippers. And content got made and people didn't always need to protect their maps.

No pain no gain - noobs should learn if they want something. Not given everthing which just gives the community another cheeky skilless kid.

Then your memory must be clouded, ive been in the community far longer than you have and ever since HEK+ came out there have always been rippers, and there opponents.

I have yet to understand why is it you care so much about peoples choices where you have no control over them, or how you go so far as to harass the user based on wether or not he decides its ok to rip.
It really does seem like your the last person who cares. I almost feel bad for you.

Btw haloisahorriblegame is the best poster to have come along in a while
and I miss biege
