I am just wondering where all the helpful people are (not saying that some people are useless)

i mean like, where are all the people who usually help me with my problems...
such as Niels, Gamma, {FTD}Spartn and all that.. (i miss you guys helping me out D:)

cuz i have gone back into map making and i am having a LOT of problems due to me using a Vista :/ (im used to XP :P)

so...where are all the peoples who use to go on Halomaps reguarly?

Yes, like for example Gamma certainly isn't gone, and if you look around the forums a bit you'll notice he posts quite often in the help section; I'm not gone either, proof of which is that I'm posting this. That's already two people.

Make sure all nodes are linked to the fram root node.
Now delete all level geometry (assuming this is a jmw), and delete the object itself, leaving only the nodes.
Then export.

um...I link everything to Frame Bone 24
and then i export and i get this other error -.-

and please re-explain this...i dont get what you mean by "Delete all level geometry" o.o

All nodes need to be linked to one master node called "frame root".
If this is not configured in this way, it will not export.

And ignore the level geometry thing if this is not a world-relative animation.

uhh..im doing first person animations and..
there IS NO "frame root"
the main bone is "Frame bone 24"

Then you need to link everything to frame bone 24.

Go back to Technical if you want help with this :/

Gamma is by far the most helpful person in that list, at this time.

Sadly... I remember a lot of those people. But there are several others I don't. Masters1337, Kirby, Donut, rec0, Advancebo, Ctrl Alt Destroy; I remember those guys. They were mostly big in 2007 when I was a mainstay here. Jahrain and kornman were both before my time here though, and some of the others were either after I grew away from here (2008-2010) or before I joined (2006).



Indeed, Halo Guru is missing. He was one of the most helpful guys back when I first joined. Also guys like Nexus_Halo, Kiwi, Rm860, Higuy, MechWarrior001, E3p0, Caboose117, HDoan, bobbysoon, and you (Maniac) were all relatively helpful to me when I was here in '07. Mythril joined after I left for a while, in '08, so I don't know him that well, but I'd seen his name around a lot, so I'm assuming he was pretty helpful as well.

How's everything going Halo CE Community?

from what i understand it hasn't changed much, people complain that the game is dying, and then troll newer members away for asking for help =P.

Yeah. Back when I joined in 2008, the forums were much less full of complaints and spam, and had more of a liveliness to the mood. I left for a year in 2009, came back in June 2010, and discovered a duller forum that what once was.
Not to say there aren't still cool people here. I tip my hat especially to people such as Grunts, Higuy, Jesse, and others.

People come, people go. You can't expect all the helpful people to stay here indefinitely.

Your username rings a very very very faint bell.

No one significant. Just an old map maker who never finished a single project 100%, but has been around since '07. I've asked numerous questions on the forum before though. Never knew how to make breakable glass (and still don't, sadly), constantly ran into open edges problems (which I know how to fix now), etc... I was mostly active in '07 though. I contributed a lot to help others out with anything I knew, but disappeared in early '08 and never really came back but for a few days until now.

Used to be somewhat big on the game though because I could hold my own against pretty much every player from any clan, including Ganon (who I forgot used to be on the forums as well). Name in-game used to be ßøøm. *Facepalm.* Hence my name here.

Only people I knew really well at all were Halo Guru, kirby_422, and teh_ganon. Only because I played Halo with each of them and tested stuff for them, and they helped me to learn stuff as well. I also remember testing a project for someone else, which was a single player map of some sort with some pretty advanced AI... I just can't, for the life of me, remember who it was... Oh well.

I contribute nothing~
Also, there's another guy who was pretty helpful.
I can't for the life of me remember his name.
