I have my map, but I'm worried. Did my mod compile correctly? It says that the header and things failed, yet it successful compiled? Did it compile? Edited by GlacierDragonX on Nov 21, 2010 at 06:42 PM

did you have the game running when you compiled your map?

I think this is the problem. "FAILED TO READ DATA FILE BITMAPS" Do you have a folder in your data folder titled "bitmaps" There should be one there that you store all your bitmaps(textures) that you used in your map.

The game was not running, and the bitmaps are there. I really don't know why it's not compiling. (I just tried again and no luck.)

Edited by GlacierDragonX on Nov 21, 2010 at 06:42 PM it still compiled - as long as it says "successfully built cache file" that means its been compiled but those "failed to open" stuff...maybe ur missing some tags...

i probably wouldn't take any chances with that kind of compilation. The map itself might not be completely stable to play because the compilation had these errors.
also, he probably isn't missing tags, or else the map wouldn't even compile. My hunch is that one of his background programs had left the bitmaps/sounds/loc.map files open, and didn't close them, resulting in them being inaccessible.

What sarge said. This error is caused by a tag being modified or open. If the map is open in HEK+, a tag is open in sapien or guerrila, or another tag is being recompiled at the same time, this will happen, and will most likely cause exceptions in-game.

I tried compiling it after restarting my computer. (To make sure no background programs are running) I still get that message, though.
