I don't understand.

We want every to pitch in on what they want to we can make a map everyone wants to play so that means you give the ideas throughout the whole process.

DarkAvengerX, could you make a basic paint drawing of lossless and post it? Just to get a basic idea of what you want.

DarkAvenger told me I have to model tons of buildings D:

I have an idea. Make one building as a scenery tag. Then I will place the buildings all over the map. This is just an idea and I'm not sure that this would even work.

The original building concept you posted earlier reminded me of a man-made beehive. Elaborate on the structure much much more.

Dark, you will let me make part of the city. It would be nice of you.

Yeah but We still have to add the work into one file then texture it and bsp it. So I would like you to post the work to a private ftp sever so I can get them and combine them in multiple ways. Then the team will vote on the best one and our map populater will populate the map base of of a plan made by the team.

If you have played Halo 3: ODST there are SO MANY references to futuristic buildings.

If you're going to make buildings, make them more unique. Make the buildings fun to look at, like you have to take a moment to stare in wonder at it.

If the place is right, make the buildings fit in and surround the natural terrain. Imagine buildings and structures jutting out of the walls of a canyon.

Think of the Powerhouse map from Halo Reach. The buildings and structures are built around the rocks and terrain, instead of being thrown into the middle of nowhere.

Infact, this would make sense. Reach is supposedly filled with unexplored and natural territory, so that would be perfect for using the natural surroundings as supports for buildings. I mean, if I had an empty earth-like planet to myself, that's how I'd build buildings.

Great idea. This is what we need to get it right. Remember that we are new so we may not think it all the way through.

Can everybody CALM DOWN! Might I remind everyone that this is the NEXT GENERATION mapping team. We are all very new to this, so please be patient. There is not much work shown because we are still in the process of creating it. The reason there is so many threads is an accident. Also to clarify THERE IS NO LINK. This map is still in it's early stages of development so thus it would be silly to give you a map that is still a max file. We will post more progress on this tread as soon as we are ready. HOWEVER pleased be warned that since, we are all new to mapping, do not expect anything spectacular. Let me put it this way, we are NOT CMT we will release our maps, but the quality will be much lower.

I understand that, but where is the damn link?

CMT released there maps derp >:[ spv2 held it all back though and made people come up with the CMT doesnt release anything
