can someone direct me to a tutorial for advanced shader making, i am trying to replicate the metal shaders from forge world on halo reach, i have done a ton of experimenting and i got a little headway but i the product looks nothing like in halo reach.

i know its possible to create something that looks similar, i have seen quite a few really good shaders out there that resemble the ones i am trying to create a little bit.

Well technically speaking I'm making it for halo 2 (vista) I'm asking about shaders her because the people who have the skills I need are over here, however I will be releasing the source with all the forge-able objects for everyone to use the minute I finish the map, so yeah you guys will have forge world.

I'm almost finished pinnacle, I just have a few more models, but my problem lies in the shaders, I have spent hours experimenting but haven't achieved anything more than halfway decent, so I could definitly use a good tutorial, or better yet an example shader, for instance the shader for the forerunner floor on the halo 1 campaign halo 3 style, it uses the halo 3 narrows texture, and looks like a bunch of pointy ovals.
