I saved my BSP as a GMAX file, but it doesnt show up where i saved it. And when i go to the "save as:" part of GMAX, the file is in there, but there is a lock on the file. how to fix?

it must have something to do with a setting you have enabled. Or else... what operating system do you have? Not sure if it makes a dif but it might

You have to have the folder 'scenes' permissioned to you by the admin on your cpu.

go do it from the administrator user profile, but I think I know the problem if you're using a certain virus I like to call Vista.
If you have vista, try running gmax as administrator

I just don't get why so many people hate vista! windows 7 is no better. call me crazy, but I think it's worse!

Crazy person. Doesn't know what they're talking 'bout.

BUT, right click gmax .exe or shortcut, go into properties then compatibility and click the button that says "Always run as administrator"

if you know anything about neatness and security and features in an OS, you'd know how aweful vista is and how much better 7 is.
