And you WILL get mad and ban me. What was I saying again? oh ya The name the Genocide comes from a science fiction book called Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. The ship itself is always placed in maps in which the humans are fighting for their very survival. The map itself is called Genocide because it takes place before Extinction. The ship is hovering over an outpost on Reach, being boarded and loaded for combat when the Covenant fleet invades. The covenant captures one of the underground hangar bases on the other side of the canyon and sets up camp. When three covenant carriers, three cruisers, supported by a mini-carrier dropship and a scarab are incoming, it sorta looks like Genocide. The humans respond with guerilla tactics and clever use of the terrain and mythos to mount an effective enough resistance to allow the ship to escape to the Hotzone outpost on Halo. It is followed by a single covenant flagship to the Hotzone outpost and then is later shot down and crashes on Halo, but not without disabling the flagship aswell. The Genocide's fate was sealed. Whoever made the gbxmodel had no idea what they were doing, as there are no markers for seats or weapons, and only three shader slots so the bitmaps don't apply properly or just no one has UVW mapped it yet and there are multiple edge errors. I set up the animations but its missing two instances that it needs to operate correctly and the animations are just bad in general. Like wtf man? I got the thing ingame and created custom physics for it (the ones you gave me caused an exception) but I was extremely disappointed when I set up all the shaders for it and none of them applied because none of the MatId's were done. So either I re do it from the ground up (which is alot of work for me for something that is just a novelty item) or you provide a proper Gbx_model with the correct nodes, markers, material ID's and UVW maps. It's not a tag problem or anything like that. The source files just are plain terrible. I can give you the working tags, but seriously, it's not worth your time unless you plan to do UVW maps for it and fix the edge errors on the wings. From the back, the wings don't render at all except for a few random triangles that are all over the place. Also a vehicle is useless without its nodes and markers. Like who thought this was done and compiled it? o.O fail

The one I gave you was unwrapped, but it doens't match the textures so fail. I don't think anyone wants to edit the errors and fix the unwraps to add in the epicness of this map pack so oh well. Guess we gotta make do with halo ce peli for the meantime =\.
Heres a few optional options =P... 1. fix the h3 peli and gt it ingame. 2. use stock Halo Ce peli 3. I'm not a huge fan of it, but someone could try to rip the halo reach peli and get it ingame.
Doesn't matter I'll take what i can get. At least we get that uber MAC Cannon =D

And the Mac Cannon is nearly complete, with correct sound, projectile, skin, and firing effects. A new feature of it that was just implemented is lightning around the "barrels" when it fires to sort of simulate Halo Reach as best as CE can. It took alot of h4x but it works.

If it's not too much trouble, could you make it so that the pelican can strafe back and forth and side-to-side? It would make the pelican so much better, make it easier to dodge fighters, and makes it sooo much more fun to fly.

Yeah, maybe cross the banshee and ghost physics so that you have a strafing vehicle that can go up or down. I'm thinking that you'd need to alter the animations for it though, because of how the wings and tails would work would work.

The vehicle uses steering animations and landing animations and therefore has the mass points for that. I would cross the pelican physics with the hornet and ghost. But I seriously doubt it would work and still fly like you would expect a dropship to operate. Hey I know this is a pretty old forum :S but how did you add all those vehicles? Whenever I script them in, if you restart the server they all jump to the first vehicle spawn point, and lags the server to hell xD

You should've posted this in a seperate topic, or at least bump the one people cared about.
Set up a repeating script, sleep about 600-1200 (I think?) after all of the create things are done. You can also set them as defaults in the globals.
