Oh, and he comes close to firing his weapon. In D40 he points his gun at some sentinels before you kick their ass.

What about when you see that one guy take down a Zealots shields with his assault rifle?

That's not Master Chief.... that's umm..... Carter?

When you say MC doesn't shoot his weapon in any cutscene... why not change a map with a script where he jump onto a sentinel then just grab and throw at another sentinel... or boarding a banshee and crash it onto a spirit/phantom/another banshee, destroying it or boarding it (banshee)... or, him on a scorpion tank and shoot a support railing of a bridge, collapsing it with a bunch of wraiths, ghosts, and covenant... but that will require lot's of time :P

No I believe it's Noble Six if you're talking about the elite that just pushes past him and out the door after his shields drop. And some help from the rest of the squad.

The chief dosn't need to fire his weapons because he always has cheat_medusa 1 on XD

Because Chief wouldn't survive 5 minutes on Easy without us taking control over his actions.

Chief never shoots his gun, because he kills with his laz0r vision (X-Men with a visor).

The only time I saw him in a cutscene killing something is in halo2 High Charity where he pops a infection flood.

In that cutscene, his fingers dont close, It just pops in his C-shaped fingers lol.
