Need some help for my project. I need to compile sound tags but I don't know what the correct command is nor the proper format. I guess from looking at some sound tags in guerrilla that they need to be OGG WAV or xbox formats. I have no idea how to make them OGG or .xbox.
I am also not sure if the command is ''sound'' or ''sounds''

i think most people recommend using tool++ for sound compiling because it's so much easier, i think you can find it here on halomaps. Edited by d4rfnader on Oct 8, 2010 at 06:39 PM

tool++ has a user interface so you can choose all the options instead of having to type everything yourself.

Create a sound using mono 16-bit .wav at 22050 bitrate. Place it in a folder. I' gonna use sound\test\testsound.wav In tool, type: tool sounds sound\test 0 ogg or tool sounds sound\test 1 ogg I never really get a difference with either of these. Then in Guerrilla, just edit the tag to look like another on in the sound folder. Hope this helps

Or I am doing it wrong or sommat... Umm you say the sound is a WAV but you put ogg H:\Progr...ition)tool sounds Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map' usage: tool verb (options...) sounds directory-name platform(xbox, wav, ogg) ogg_only_value_flag (quality or bitrate) that is what it says. tool sounds sound\test 1 ogg wouldn't be a valid command... I think. Never mind. tool sounds sound\test ogg 1 is what it would be. OK thanks. -Skidrow
