Recently I made a secret room for my map, so I reran the lightmaps with the textures and sky in my scenario/bsp. Everytime I run lightmaps, the secret room, under the level is always dark so I use the sapien airbrush to change the lightmaps of the place. But everytime i do it, it is like that there is a few little black parts left that I cant get rid of (basicly, say one rectangle polygon is black, so I color it white, and near the sides of the polygon, it is still dark). It makes the side bleh. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Any help guys? anyways this is what it loooks like:

You see the darker parts near the sides of each polygon, is it possible to get rid of the darkness and make them all equal.

-Model in lights
-Make the sercet room's shaders emit light.
-Model windows for sky
-In sapien, add devoce_light_fixtures and rerun lightmaps.

yea just make the ceiling shader self illuminating (or all of the shaders of the secret room) and rerun lightmaps.

Alright guys thanks, I used device light fixtures, now the room is brightly lit, but some parts of the level are a bit yellow and I want to change it using the sapien airbrush tool, how do I save the lightmap after the airbrush though? d4rfnader was correct about how it corrupts the lightmaps.

If you want to change the lighting of the level, edit the .sky tag or the light fixtures that are emitting light. The airbrush tool does not work, so don't bother with it.

You mean, the lights make stuff yellow? Then it's in the light-fixture tag.
Otherwise it's in the color of the sky or whatever other light you have. Sky tag and shader tag respectively.

there are some pieces of scenery that emit light called light fixtures... how weird id that? XD but you may want to look into them. they make interior things look really cool

I just changed the sky colors to 0 0 0, now everything is lit up. I guess it also changes the sky too. Oh well. Doesn't matter
