when i open HEK+, it works just fine, until i try to open a drop down menu, like when i right click.im using an older version ofHEK+, because when i get a newer one, it needs .net framework, which i have, but it still doesnt work. can anybody help me? (with either of these?)

for your .net framework problem, find the .net framework installer for the latest version somewhere on the internet or in the microsoft download site, then reinstall your .net framework with it.
And, just download the "newest" version of HEK+, its less buggier.
If you really want to use this version of HEK+...well, are you running vista?

Use search.
Right click on the HEK+ shortcut, go to compatibility, and chose 'Disable Desktop Compisition' and set the compatibility to XP SP3. If you do not disable the desktop composition, HEK+ will run with the Aero (non-basic) theme and will appear to function fine. However, as soon as you click on any command or menu, it will cease to work. I have no idea why, but that's how it is. Disabling composition forces the theme into Aero basic, and it should work fine then.
