From what I've seen, the collision needs fixed and it needs a new bitmap. Just remember I have a bitmap for it so when everything else is fixed, I'll gladly donate it.

Quote: I second the motion. On a separate note, can someone brief me on the latest updates to this Pelican? Should I anticipate its inclusion in Requiem, because if so, then I'll need to get it ready for weapons, possibly some pickup scripts, stuff like that, unless someone else beats me to it.

i have odst pods that are beta would you like those

How about I ban every single person involved in this argument either directly or peripherally unless the thread returns to the subject of Halo 3 Pelican (request).

I hate to say it but that sounds like poor moderation.

I actually have to applaud Dennis on that one.

He does have a point. If you guys ignored it, and simply continued your discussion on the Pelican and dropship armaments in general, none of this would have happened. I mean, it's some dude halfway around the world huddled up in a dark room with his crank-operated laptop. Does their opinion really matter that much?

Now...

can you honestly tell me that this guy has been following the basic rules of the forum for the past few weeks? Honestly, what is your reason for not banning this member? Is it because he makes pretty models? Is it because he occasionally brown noses? .
He is an arrogant, self centered self loathing child with poor social skills and is over compensating with a false air of self importance. If I banned everyone for that 95% of the members would be gone. His time here is short as are some others.

I allow a bit of latitude in the interactions of the members that I never do in other forums I moderate; mainly because all the other forums are populated by adults. If this were indeed one of those other forums every single person in that argument including yourself would definitely have been banned and in the other forums lost their full access and the money they paid for it.

There are not if any adults in this forum and the latitude granted is never the right match for every person especially when those people range in age from 10 to 20 years of age; the age when people dramatically develop their communication and social skills.

This forum was established for the younger members of the Halo CE mappers/modders to learn and for the most part it has been successful in that mission, however as much as I tire of the childish crap I also know that for it to be populated by younger members it will also contain younger attitudes that adults and well behaved people consider childish. It is unfortunately the price of having young people in the forum. As for you opinion of how the forum is run you are free to have it but if it bothers you so much then you are also free to leave.

so basically you can enjoy it if you want but if you don't like it, LEAVE!!! not saying any names but *cough*anonymous_2009*cough*.... there's good advice and there's bad advice and this right here is good advice. now back to the pelican. i may have to give this model to someone to finish because i'm leaving for army related stuff and might not be able to get access to a pc. i'll try and get the collision now but no promises.

That was actually a very good answer. I was half expecting a ban.

I apologize for interfering in such a hostile manner, I usually tend to keep my nose out of these things and expect moderation to take care of it, expecting the higher ups to have cleaned up and taken care of the members responsible. When I see things like this go on for extended periods of time, I start questioning moderation.

However, given the circumstances of this forum being designed for the younger crowd, I can somewhat understand the lenience.. I don't one hundred percent agree with it personally, and there are some things I personally would do much differently.. Still, not my forums, not my rules. ... probably a good thing I don't want kids, lol

Either way, good explanation. I appreciate it.

I just wish this forum was more mature. There are people such as me, Gamma, Yoko, Grunts, Dwood, and others, who actually want to do what we are doing, in a non-childish, non-status manner. I like to have fun doing these things in my spare time, but remember, how would you talk to someone in your real life? That's right, your life OUTSIDE this game, this forum? Think about what you would say, how you would act, and then think of how you portray yourself on these forums. Needless to say, I think a good amount of people on these forums need to have fun, laugh a bit, but seriously, GROW UP.

LOL.

Fair dose. Do I class as an adult? I'm nearly 19 :P

All I ever simply imply is my personal opinion which is valid and allowed, other people choose to start an argument by replying to my opinion in the discussed manor. I had harsh crit, and it worked, I don't PURPOSELY be an ass. I do what works, I say what it is, and people cry.

End of. Once other people stop crying and listen then maybe I could add cake?
