Click on the link greenfuzz provided. Follow method 1. Doubleclick the files stated there , it will run a little process. Allow it to run , then once it's finished restart halo. If you still can't see text , change your resolution to fit your screen size.

Or if your computer is like mine and simple un/reinstall doesn't work just download the Combat Evolved demo...that seems to work for almost everyone...
After you made sure it actually works you can discard the demo and its installer...

Don't listen to theese people. You don't need to reinstall. How would that fix anything? Run the msxmlenu.exe in Halo ce\redist folder.

That's just the thing Slappy...not everybody has that folder because administrative permission blocks it... He can only use that method if he has his CD or he is the administrator and allowed the folder to be placed on his drive...
If neither of those options is possible, then do as I said above...get the demo... Since the installer is just a single application it won't ask for separate permission to place all the folders in their places or install the XML parser. The only thing it asks for is to be launched...which is user controlled...

Or someone can send him msxmlenu.exe, or maybe it's elsewhere on the internet.

I'm sure he fixed it. For future reference Redist can be found in halo custom edition folder, inside it you will find msxmlenu. Install it and boot up the game. Edited by Wolf_ on Aug 30, 2010 at 03:49 PM
