so there's no way to do it to an existing shader? o well. i just needed to no how to make a surface climbable to make a certain ramp climbable by people so that they don't slide off.

no need to change the shader, just put that symbol into the material name in 3ds max.

but the map is a rip from campaign so yea. i needed to do it with the shader but i found a better way so that people wont be climbing the walls. i set in the biped or player info globals the hill climb angle to 60 instead of 45 and that worked.

:P thats the one i used when i wanted my biped to climb up big hills.

You can manually find out the face number in sapien by using the command collision_debug. Then open the structure bsp in guerilla/kornman and scroll down to where it has surfaces and a checkbox for climbability. Then locate the surfaces you want and check them off as climbable

thank you. i was thinking about this but i didnt no sapien could do that. if i would've done this i probably would waste a day doing trial and error trying to find the right surfaces lol.
