In an SP mission, is it possible to script the sky to change? A situaution would be when u start outside and its night, go inside, teleport somewhere else and its day

I have never really understood the implications of multiplayer bsp switching.
Is it all some special script?

Basically to get night and day you make 2 BSP's, 1 with your day sky and one with your night sky and compile both. Then the script to switch between them is (switch_bsp #). The # will be 0 for the first BSP and 1 for the second one.

And then you be cool, and incorporate the script into the pause menu ui.
EDIT: nm, that's for multiplayer. Got ahead of myself.

That actually can work in single player too if you use the SP pause menu.

then you would edit the SP pause menu to include a day/night button with the switch_bsp script

for the seperate BSP's you will need to seperately compile each one into a .scenario then place a trigger volume in each place you want the BSP to switch to the next one and use the script below to activate the switching.

(script startup bsp_switch
(begin
(sleep_until (volume_test_objects "trigger volume" (players)) 15)
(switch_bsp "bsp #")
)
)
