In an SP mission, is it possible to script the sky to change? A situaution would be when u start outside and its night, go inside, teleport somewhere else and its day

I have never really understood the implications of multiplayer bsp switching. Is it all some special script?

Basically to get night and day you make 2 BSP's, 1 with your day sky and one with your night sky and compile both. Then the script to switch between them is (switch_bsp #). The # will be 0 for the first BSP and 1 for the second one.

EDIT: nm, that's for multiplayer. Got ahead of myself. Edited by SlappyThePirate on Aug 19, 2010 at 04:30 PM

That actually can work in single player too if you use the SP pause menu.

then you would edit the SP pause menu to include a day/night button with the switch_bsp script

for the seperate BSP's you will need to seperately compile each one into a .scenario then place a trigger volume in each place you want the BSP to switch to the next one and use the script below to activate the switching.
(script startup bsp_switch (begin (sleep_until (volume_test_objects "trigger volume" (players)) 15) (switch_bsp "bsp #") ) )
