doesnt work on my newer computer, nor do i have the patience of biting of an arm and leg to get it working.
downloaded the demo of 3ds max and using it now.

i imported the GBX model, how do i get rid of the spheres without getting rid of any of the things inside them clip the slide or anything?

Just delete the sphere? Try unlinking them.

whenever i delete the sphere the thing inside it wont move anymore.
edit: unlinking doesnt work. it works if i set the radius to 0, but i have to do each one individually and thatd take ages...

A rare sight, indeed.

Because those 'spheres' tell the game what stuff moves, etc.

OK I'm confused though, if you just want the tags why not just rip them from Blood Gulch or any other stock Halo 1 map?...

You don't need 3DS Max for anything, seeing as you don't want to edit the animations or really do anything else.

jsut export
as a 3ds and can delete the stuff
and the reason they dont move is cause they are frozen
do this

Unlink everything
select the spheres
delete
right click> unfreeze all
now u can move stuff around. ppl freeze the model so that u dont accidentally move something on it while animating, i guess it stays that way. GOSH!

if anything cause the spheres are what are animated not the gun itself, u should jsut make the spheres not render when u render ur anim, so they dont show, nor do tehy shadow, so visually they are gone.

-post has been backtraced and removed by the cyberpolice-

Or just import the spheres to be really small, like 0.1, then hide them after you've posed everything.
