Good choices Fella's. I never even thought about No Remorse. Some maps will just be too hard I suppose. Ones based around their structures will be easier like blackout/hangemhigh

i have some forge map ideas!
such as: 1. make a map... put bases... put vehicles... put stuff... ???... and done :D

^^^Yea, but we need bigger ships! Or, maybe downsize it a bit? Smallass? Just a thought.
Dennis would you add a reach/forge section? Sure its not Halo ce but its become ALOT more customizable! I think people would love it. You could do a "Spotlight/Frontpage" area too.

-ship vs ship maps? ships firing at each other... fighters shooting.... -red and blue bases on separate islands, connected by a series of bridges with a base or more in the middle -ship vs land maps? people shooting at the enemy bellow them as their enemy fight for control of the ship by trying to board it -obstacle maps -????

As for seriousness,
I would probably make a crap load of various zombie maps, I had this thought of what if I could make a zombie-escape map, like the ones you see in counter strike.

lol so many great things people can put in i never thought of narrows.
i forgot about the infection lol i havent played it forever.. zombies on the island would be cool make the zombies spawn on a dock like you have forrunner docks allover the island thats where they spawn with little cover and the humans spawn in a base on the island made against the wall maybe like a icefileds base. and then the tunnels is a one way if it does go through the island like someone said so theres a armory on the inside. then theres a walkway to the top of the island where theres a sniper tower similar ot the one in yoyoarst
omg i just brainstormed :D
omfg lol we could make a version of yoyoarst island and take out the ability of flight omfg i brainstormed more :D

zombie escape map idea:
two spawn locations: one for zombie and the other for zombie the humans have to run towards a location before the zombie infect them all the humans wait until evac arrives and have to hold out the swarm of zombies once done round is over and the whole place blows up and everyone dies that are still on the island
hmmm... and maybe narrows (w/ steroids) combined with other maps :D
edit:soon this forum topic will be filled up with lots and lots of suggestions that it will have more pages than the wip lol jk

But it is related to the portal map archive. Reach is an Xbox game and if you were observant you would have noticed that we only have forums for the map archives we host and all of them are PC based games.

im currently making this in Halo3. (forge practice, though halo's respawning does not let me make it 100% flaw proof :C)
blue team defends, whilst red attacks. kinda like 1sided ctf, but the flag is an actual player. barricaded in blue base. red team invades and rescues the VIP (only gametype in h3 that would work like this) and blue team essentially defends for the timer's duration. played a beta test of it with some friends. and standoff is probably the best map for this. there's the 2 locked doors where the VIP is trapped in. and anyone can free him via the panel. but obviously the blue team wouldn't be stupid enough to open the doors. :\
also allows for blue team to be spartans (human weapons are left in blue base [but i have 2 versions which is, the VIP spawns on the other side. saves me time swapping the weapons around] and covie in red base.) with the ar being primary and energy sword being secondary (mb change the sword in the reach version since elites are a bit OP with them and the dive roll... unless u can completely remove the armor abilities.... (which im assuming you can since u can make custom loadouts and make the armor abilities have unlimited usage)
EDIT: oh yeah. a few platforms so you can spawn but like hammers/swords & jetpacks ponly :O would be hectic and very fun... Edited by sierra117 on Jul 26, 2010 at 03:31 AM
