It should automatically install drivers from the controller. If not, go into the Control Panel and Game Controllers, and calibrate it and stuff.

IDK. I used to do that, but I realized the controller itself lagged a bit so instead of having to aim 10 ft in front of ever person on the many laggy servers in CE, i had to aim 15 ft in front

what hes saying is that the controller has no deadzone, which means the slightest tap on the control stick registers as something other than 0 on the x axis. halo pc doesnt support partial movement speeds like halo 1 on xbox did (remember pressing the stick half forward to walk?), so the second it sees something other than 0 for the x axis on control stick, it treats the situation as if you were pressing your key to move left or right. as you can imagine, its rather difficult to use the stick to walk forward without pushing the stick a little to the right or left.
hydrogen, you might consider using something like switchblade that takes the controller input and translates it to the keyboard keys that halo uses, that way you can define deadzones for the controller.

Hmmm, I never really liked using an Xbox 360 Controller for the game, even when I calibrated it, my character would still move after using the stick.

Had the same problem man (playing on Plasma instead monitor so I could relax moer) Anyway, http://www.redcl0ud.com/controlmk/ <----- called this link, yep right to the left. Once done that, make sure your controller is plugged into your machine on Windows XP, go to the start menu and select 'ControlMK' open it, and once you set to your personal configurations, the Xbox 360 controller is AUTOMATICALLY set the dead-zone 24 on the Xbox 360, so if you wanna have it perfect there you go. Pretty good for my first post. :) Edited by Necr0matic on Jul 25, 2010 at 11:23 PMEdited by Necr0matic on Jul 25, 2010 at 11:24 PM
