Are there any "Hold the line" maps where massive numbers of AI rush at your position while you and a small platoon of marines hold them off or something like that? If not, this could be an idea for map makers :D Pls and thnx for your help.
BTW, Flood maps are alright but I dont really like the flood (took me a long time to finish guilty spark and the library)

Isn't there a command in Sapien to allow it to endlessly spawn AI's?

You could just script it (script continuous looping_ai_spawn (sleep_until (= (ai_living_count [AI]) 0) 15) (ai_place [AI]) ) Make sure the AI are not placed automatically (there's a checkbox for that in Sapien)

That would make it in waves, though, so if that's what you're going for, that's it. If you want it to be infinite, make sure the AI can respawn every 2-4 seconds.

You could do it based on a timer, but sooner or later there will be too many to kill before the next group spawns, so it'd be better to do it based on how many are still alive. It doesn't have to be 0 either, it can spawn the new encounter when only 2 or 3 are left alive, that way there's never any moments when there is absolutely no fighting.

no. Just no. Even ask Gamma, that map was a test map. It's gameplay wasn't terrible, but it was far from spectacular, overall weapon balance was crap, too. The only noteworthy thing was the credits system, which was a good idea, but since I only used powerups, and the BR (+ ammo,) that was useless. b40_firefight was FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR superior. But hey, that's my two cents, you can download it if you like - it's not a HORRIBLE map, it's just not amazing. Edited by ThetianSoldier on Jul 22, 2010 at 05:05 AM

portent-firefight was amazing, except that it wasn't long enough, weapons kinda cost to much, and the weapons were unbalanced, overall it was alright.

godno, respect -10 that you even think that. B40_Firefight is the best existing Firefight map to date. Indisputable. Edited by doompig444 on Jul 23, 2010 at 03:26 AM
