Oh c'mon! why every single board has to have so much rules! can't i just get some simple help with my questions? as far as i see only the WoW forums are supportive and friendly (No rediculous rules everywhere) maybe i should go back there!
Screw this. i quit halo, with such an unfriendly forum, i can't play a game properly.

The people here aren't unfirendly. This is a community based upon respect, you can gain respect by gaining knowledge, or by your length of stay. Whinning is the quickest way to lose respect. People usually try to be patient with the newcomers, unless they are annoying and unwilling to learn anything.

Also, just because some one says "make it yourself" doesn't mean that they are being rude. He(or she) is trying to help you in the long run because you're never going to go anywhere if you keep relying on others.

It's really odd that it's only like this on modding forums, all the modders, testers and misc people are a-holes.
You don't see this kind of crap on mmorpg games, because if you mod these games you get banned.
isn't it funny that free games have only idiots in them and pay-per-month games have mostly nice people? see what i'm going at here?
I'm saying your idiots and have completely no taste in games. halo got me kind of attracted because the weapons are really cool, but that's it, i guess you like it because it's fun being in a highly populated online game with everyone playing it just like you (a-hole).
it's kind of nice knowing that halo ce is the only one of the halo series which has such a stupid community, you don't so much a-holes (you for example) playing halo 3 and such.
i am not crying, im stating a point, this game is ruined by YOU.

I'm sure you've only been to just the WoW forums, and even if they are 'nice,' those people still have no lives.
Excuuuse me!? FREE?! No no no, Custom Edition may be 'free,' but you still have to pay for Halo PC which costs anywhere from $10-$20 which anyone can easily afford. And like I said before, 'nice' but lacking any sort of social life in the real world.
We're not idiots, or at least some of us aren't but others are. Those would be annoying spammers and other little kids who never stay on topic and get banned frequently. And it's called having fun, we're not being a-holes as you put it, we're being good friends having a great time playing a game we love to play and mod.

A stupid community filled with talent people who love doing what they do and couldn't care for people such as yourself who come in and bash us when we have done nothing wrong. And really? You never see a-holes on Halo 3? Or Xbox Live in general? :facepalm: You've got to be kidding me.

We keep this game alive, we bring in new people who have potential (but never use it) to be a great part of this everlasting community.

Now if you could just please leave us alone, and go back to your precious and 'perfect' WoW, I would be very happy. If you wish to stay for whatever insane reason, then be my guest. I will be polite as I am now, and welcome you to the community as long as you don't cause a ruckus like this again and piss us all off.

I have to say the majority of forums i've been to have better people than this one.

1. Some modders, testers, and misc people are not a-holes, they might act like it but they're not.

2. You can still see this on mmorpg... heck i saw few racism and sexist in-game and on forums.

3. This game is legal to mod, that's why it is called "Halo Custom Edition"... if it isn't then Bungie would have done something about it.

5. Incorrect. Most free games that i played don't have idiots (what game are you playing anyways?) and that pay-per-month games also have idiots... (they're stil games no matter what... so they'll have idiots and nice people)

6. What are you to say we have no taste in games? It is just your matter of opinion. You don't even know us at all. We may like some or maybe most of the games that you may like.

7. Just because we play Halo doesn't mean that we are what you said... Oh by the way... you played halo so you're just what you just said what we are

8. What are you to judge that we are a stupid community? We're not stupid at all, some to most of us know how texture, make maps, import, etc.

All of the things that you said is a matter of opinion... not a fact.. or a solid point of what you said... if it was then i wouldn't be able to contradict what you said.

The thing about those forums is they probably are older people, more experienced at what they do (if it's a modding community). Halomaps has never been known for old and 'mature' members, it's an easy-to-use and most of the time, friendly site and forum inhabited mostly by peoples of ages 12-16. Notice I say 'mostly' as well, because there are members here who are older, or perhaps even some who are younger.

And I speak in terms of active members.

About i guess 99.9999999% of people who play WOW have no lives at all.
For example, i used to have an old friend who just played WOW all the time.
The game was his life. He literally never went outside or did anything like play sports.

That's what I like about halomaps. When I'm here I can talk to people who have similar interests and around my level of inteligence(usually). We normaly get along just fine. It may seem like we fight sometimes, but that's how people act with others that they are familliar with. Halomaps is a relatively small forum(at least in active users) so we all have to interact with each other sometime. If you hang around in the discussion forum you can usually meet all the active users within a day or two. in other larger forums, you can't even possibly hope to "meet" a majority of the active users cause there are so many.

Bahaha watch him go back to his WoW forum or some crap and be like HALO PEOPLE SUCK, NOT NICE .ETC

if not then well, kid, u cant stereotype a whole community because of a few ppl. thats what alot of racist do. also, how can u say every single modder and such is a ahole. im not a ahole,and i know many others who arent. and only free games have idiots? oh lets see, play halo on xbox online, well play anything where u can have a large group of anyone in a lobby. see what happens. ppl yell, got kids acting stupid,etc. iv played plenty of games free and paid, and sometimes the free ones have less trolls and aholes then the paid ones(strange isnt it?) and how are we idiots? because we use our talent and knowledge to bring forth new ideas, concepts, and art? everyday you will find something new being made here, whether its being released or not is another matter all together. gain respect and you shall be respected. this community has helped me become better at 3dmodels and such, i used to be horrible, i listened to their advice(sometimes not the advice i wanted to hear) and used it to improve myself. now go back to your precious perfect WoW forums and say how much we suk etc. because we know different, and many others do as well. have a nice day sir or madam.
