I know in first person animations, if there is no idle animation for a weapon, it will keep looping the ready until you melee, then it'll loop the melee until you reload, then it will loop that, etc. There might not be an idle animation for your seat, which would explain the looping. What is the animation tag of the biped you're using and what is the seat name you're forcing it into?
