I finally installed the non cracked version of halo ce, then halo editing kit, then .net v1, then hek plus and a ripping tutuorial. But when i go to open the scenarion into Sapien, Sapien just crashes. Whats wrong now?

maybe there are missing tags. Post the last entry of your debug.txt file here(c:/program files/microsoft games/halo custom edition/debug.txt)

Guerilla can do all of those anyway. He doesn't require Kornman to do just those. Before hastily deleting random stuff as gnademassica117 suggested, post your debug.txt file so we can determine the problem BEFORE you do anything rash.

Sorry, i haven't been on for a while cos my internet was down. Well, i don't think its anything to do with the whatever it was in the second comment in the discussion, and i've got no idea what all that 'megabyte kilobyte nanobyte gigabyte' aka technnical stuff that Churchx13 is experiencing You see, sometimes when i open sapien i load the scenario tag, i wait...it opens to full screen then just closes down. But other times sapien has been fine and i have been able to mod tutorial with h2 weapons and h3 vehicles but then i go back into it and it won't open But the last time it opened, i had been playing just cause for ages and had left it paused for half a day, so? I dunno. I had also been fiddling round with the compatibility section in the properties of it

could you please post your debug.txt? if you are running sapien as admin, debug.txt is located in the halo custom edition base directory.

um, there are no errors there...? except that you need to add a sound environment, but thats not an error.

i ran sapien as admin and it goes fine now but i modded a map with ai yesterday 2 things
1. the ai didn't work 2. i can't go back into it
When i went into where i saved the scenario it wasn't there And the ai-
when i went created an encounter and stuff then went to squads, when i go edit types and add an actor variant it says:
whoops, not all the tags could be added to the palette: you selected one or more tags couldn't be loaded correctly blah blah blah megabyte terabyte gigabyte nanobyte
how can i extract the actor things proper?

how can i extract the actor things proper? find the program HEK+, its somewhere in the halomaps website, go download it. run HEK+ as admin, then open up the campaign maps that have the AI you need. drag the .actor_variant file you need to the extraction queue, then go to extraction settings, check "recursively extract" click on the extract button, wait for the extraction to complete. now try adding the AI to the map. btw, if you ran sapien as admin, then you shouldn't see the scenario file if you run sapien again under normal priviledges, unless you open sapien as admin everytime.

okay, all i needed was the recursively extract bit...awesome. so it should save the actors in the characters folder like wen i was trying to do it before? Good. Cheers bro and u other guys
Edit:hang on... where is recursively extract?
and the same message comes up when i try to add a scenery tag that i 'extracted'. And also when i go to put a custom vehicle in there (yeah, i got the tutorial and did all the globals.globals stuff) I think its actually a problem with hek plus rather than sapien
