How would I go about converting a file normally opened on 2010 to a format that can be opened on 2008 without losing anything.
I need to convert sandtrap to a file that can be opened on 2008 so i can learn how to unwrap myself. Elite slasher does a great job, but i feel i am overworking him for the smallest details.

Your only options are to export to .3ds or to .obj. I know, i have both versions.

Export as OBJ, and export a MTL file for the materials.

You could probably also export and import an FBX file.

It only works if both 2008 and 2010 have their FBX versions at the same version, or up to date.
