Well. I have no clue what went wrong. But uh I googled it and this what found

Quote: --------------------------------------------
ERROR

EXCEPTION halt in \halopc\haloce\source\tag_files\tag_files.c,#1373: tag_file_count<MAXIMUM_TAG_FILES_PER_INDEX

Solution

delete as many tags in your folder in order to get it to compile

Hopeful that helped you.

Edit: This thread might help.. http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=30146

Maybe deleting it like the post said before will fix. I my mind what I think you need to is delete all the tags in the folder that your trying to your trying to compile. Did you read the thread incase it had some anwser for your problem?

Not enough. Move more folders, like that CMT folder and the halo3 folder out.

eehhh guys, my mathematical knowledge tells me something is messed up here. It could be a stupit mistake by HEK but it could also mean you guys forgot to read it carefully.
I think it's a stupit mistake in tool since it wouldn't make any sence otherwise.

tag_file_count<MAXIMUM_TAG_FILES_PER_INDEX
Acttually this says that the tag_file_count is LESS than the MAXIMUM_TAG_FILES_PER_INDEX

Right:
2<10
-9<4

wrong:
18<-7
-13<-126

So this error gives you the output that the number of tags in an index file are NOT the same or more than the maximum tag limit in an index file.

Last thing I can find in this would be that the parameter (in this case a checked value) tag_file_count<MAXIMUM_TAG_FILES_PER_INDEX returns false whitch generates the error.

Still this is a really weird formulated error...

well, I just moved half the folders in my tags folder to make room and it didn't work. I'm starting to think this isn't worth the effort.

Try compiling a 'fresh new map.' Like a stock multiplayer one, with nothing really added to it (excluding existing mods, like HUD or globals). Who knows? THe error may just be from a tag, or the whole map itself.
I'm also assuming you're doing a solo map, if that's ok.
