I planed on making a chainsaw at one point. I don't see why it wouldn't work. It could just shoot very short range invisible projectiles.

Its possible, but the actual chain/teeth would work like the scorpion treads, and that it wouldnt be 3d, just flat.
Also it doesnt essentially need to fire any projectiles, it can just melee. |
