4.5 years and running :) dedicated fan, despite having Crysis, MW2, COD4, and u name it, i still occasionally play Halo CE

Hah my forums become awsome, just random stuff being posted, Lol Cant wait 4 Reach Bungies favorite number is 7: Halo 1 Halo 2 Halo 3 Halo 3 ODST Halo Wars Halo Reach and...Maybe Custom edition fits in there??? Anyways theres 7 including Custom edish, the are many 7s in halo. Hunters, Jackals, Prophet, Spartan, maybe more?

My friend got Halo 2 in 2005, went to his house and played it, thought it was fun, so I got Halo 2 and Halo: PC. 2007 hits, start playing Halo 3, and at the end of 2008 I started playing Halo: PC again. About a year ago I found Halo: CE, and in about January I found the HEK and started mapping. Man, I wish I joined Halo: CE in it's heyday; would've been awesome...

Oh, and btw, Don't lie. All of the people who say they've been playing since the beginning, I doubt most of you have.

been playing halo since some time in 2008.

I guess i've been around since late 2003... was mostly on PC until I discovered the Custom edition.

Ehh,Hard to say really when..Played Halo 2 with a friend and halo 1/CE a few years later. But Halo3 was awful Compared to halo 1 and 2 the messed up after that xDD yeah but around 1004 i think

For PC it came out a year early. Which is when I started playing, I got in xbox in 2002, and fell in love, haha.

halo wars doesnt count, it wasnt made by bungie, it was made by the guys who made age of empires.

i know stupid microsoft, i use to play age of empires alot!!! one of the best RTS games out their.

Then custom edition came out, I immediatly got into scripting and (lol testing). I am now trying my hand at mapping... made my first building yesterday, it ain't to pretty.

I've played halo since 2005, when I saw the Halo 2 trailer in a show on tv, I don't actually remember the name of the show but after seeing it I went to the game store and played Halo 2.
Up until this day I play Halo 2 vista and Halo 3:ODST.

I started modding Halo PC on 2006, then stopped in 2007, I moved to CE after a few days when I stopped modding Halo PC. But until now I don't know how to make my own maps T_T.
I have made a couple of concepts about some maps for SP and MP but since idk how to make a HCE map. They'll just be dreams.

I started playing Halo trial in 2005, then started modding it the same year, making the usual stuff, such as cliff mods, ai varients, and such.

Then in 2006, I finally got Halo full for the PC and played through the entire campaign for the first time. The flood scared the hell out of me then. I also tried my hand a little at Halo Custom Edition, a cool add-on to Halo PC I had heard about.

After that, I got Halo 3 in 2007 along with Halo for the Xbox (360).
Played that, loved both games.

When I sold my 360 in 2008, I moved back to Halo Custom Edition, and started learning how to make maps. I produced two maps, called Deserted and Forgotten, which can be seen on the site.

I took a dormant state in Halo Custom Edition until about 3 months ago. When I got back into it, there was a lot more cool stuff published by this awesome community, so I decided I would make another map, a map which is now called Pitfall, which I think is some of my best work.


Now, today, I start on a new project. We shall see what happens...

I've been playing since Christmas '01.

Halo PC in 2003, Halo CE in early 2004, started the website in July 2004 to collect maps becasue the other websites kept going off line.

It changes every time I play on line because as soon as one person knows its me the game comes to a complete stand still and the chat screen overfills with questions. I don't play that often any more but when I do I am usually the second to third worst person in the game.

That's your queue to get first place by wahcking each of them in the back ?:D.

You can always just make threats back that you'll shut down Halomaps or ban people's IP from the website if they kill you.

I'm sure you'd start playing much better and having tons more fun >P

I have been (rightly) told that my humor is an aquired taste.



As someone else noted I do play every map hosted, some more than others, and I do play on line once in a while but like most people here I also play other games. I still really like the Halo story best of all and really like to see the user created maps, but I guess when I do get time to play I tend to play other games that are more, how do I say this... less populated buy people under 20.

So as not to derail this topic any further I'll start a thread about other games. Lets just keep to WHEN people started to play Halo.
