The client has to own a copy of the excact same map as you use. So no maps you moddified. make that sure first but I think it is your port forwating indeed. First of all port 80 is used. You might not even need to forward it but to be sure you can dicide to do that aswell. Next take any random port that is not used already. I think 2344 for example will do fine it's just a random port your pc has and it's probebly not in use. Next make a shortcut to your haloceded.exe and under the shortcut properties find the target file. It will look something like this: "C:\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloceded.exe"
It's good as long as it ends on \haloceded.exe"
Now at the end at the following:
-port 2344
Don't forget the spacebar! It will now look like this:
"C:\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloceded.exe" -port 2344

If you did this right I expect the server will work fine. Good luck.

okay in game my ports are : 2302, and 2303 i have both of those ports open, i believe (ill post a picture) and my target for the shortcut to haloceded looks like: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloceded.exe" -2344
I have that port open also (see picture)
yes i changed my ip address to 117 (i dont know why), i also made that static.
when my friend trys to join, he can see it, but when he joins it, it goes to the "loading map bloodgulch" and then gives him an error saying "the game has closed down.
there is 2 photos in this album, both of the lynksis router, please look over them and make sure i am correct. Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can come up whit now is port 80 has to be opened aswell. I don't remember any other port forward problem that aplies to this at the moment.

nevermind, i got it working. one random person joined, i turned on devmode and did some stuff , he left, and my friend tried to join, but he got the same error? (it must be him)
i was able to join my own server by running halo, leaving it on main menu, then starting haloceded, and i found it and joined. Thanks alot!
