so its possible to make a plasma nade lawnchair that fires one nade when uncharged and 4 when fully charged?
You can only have 2 triggers right?

Wait, so now Patio Furniture can fire heat seeking plasma charges? What's next?! Concrete floors wielding spartan lasers?
And melee can't be made a trigger, and even still wouldn't work because of how the Tag works... Melee is just a damage effect, and a response for when you actually hit something. And if it were a trigger, it wouldn't fire from charges because One trigger: Only fires if fully charged, Two triggers: Fires the first, unless charged, then fires the second. It can't be linked to a third.

Hmm... It's not exactly the same idea, but if the biggest concern is the rate of fire, and having it not fire when completely uncharged, you could have every round give no more than 33% heat, and have to charge up to fire each round, allowing four consecutive rounds... The reason for having heat just under 1/3rd is so that the heat recovery doesn't allot five shots.

I have yet to figure out how tagging weapons works in Halo CE, but I'm interested in making the grenade launcher from reach. Would that use the same concept as this, or would it have to be like the CMT battle rifle?
Also, if someone could provide me with textures for the plasma launcher I could whip up a model for you guys to use.

Uh, I don't think you can make the grenade launcher detonate when you release the trigger... Unless there is a way to script it, which I doubt. Without the delay trigger, the grenade launcher loses a lot of it's awesomeness.

edit the trigger so when u press the trigger once it launches a grenade, then presssing it again would detonate it

Uhm... Detonation is built into the projectile in halo ce, so the weapon can't be set to detonate it... sadly.
And yes, I know how to extend the fuse for charged shot. Although I thought of another idea...
Is it possible to make collision geometry work for "proximity trigger" effects?
I'm not sure if you can make things not collide with the map, but collide with objects...
If this were possible, this could be the way the charged trigger would act...

you could make it so that right click or something detonated it by having the weapon create a massive damage effect that only damages grenades. However, it would make every grenade on the map explode.

Hmm...
I'm thinking that may actually be possible... But it would interfere with other people's grenades, so it'd just be annoying...
Do splash damage effects perform a line trace to the target to ensure walls aren't blocking??? (This requires knowledge of the hard coding of halo =P)
I would use an unused/undamagable material such as engineer force field, and make this new DE damage only said materials. Edited by Alpha Series on May 20, 2010 at 04:00 PM
