I don't know how to make good textures but you can find a lot of snow textures and more at this web site. If you wanted to make custom textures of your own, your best bet would be to draw them or watch some tutorials on you tube. If you don't have a program you could try "Paint.net" which is free to download and is kind of like photo shop.
