3D Studio Max is the preferred modeling program.

if you aren't going to answer the question, dont post at all.
I cant view videos currently. 1) i dont have enough time 2.) i need to be able to view window by window, and read while doing the stuff, which i cant do with videos.

Most videos have a pause button, and if you have the time to make maps then you have the time to watch a tut explaining how. I can tell you right now that you should try watching a tut, rather than relying on us to spoon feed you. You will have more questions, and that video will answer them.
But if you want to be seen as someone who is incapable of helping themselves, you go right ahead and dont search or take advice, im sure you already know all the answers, right?
And for your information, i did answer your questions.

Thats how you are supposed to do it, you cant texture or uvw things with HEK. Then you need to export the model (linked to a frame) in a .jms format and put it in the appropriate folder in data, then run the structure command with tool. Edited by Maniac1000 on Apr 1, 2010 at 06:00 PM

Maniac1000 is one of the most helpful people in the entire forum and can't be expected to spoon feed you because your too damn lazy to look at a full video tutorial. I give people alot of crap about not making fun of people who ask beginer questions but when those beginers expect to be hand fed it makes my blood boil. Look for the damn answer in the information that was given you and don't piss me off any further. ps: Don't forget the thank Maniac1000 for helping you out to begin with. i did apologize, thank him,and ended up watching the tutorial. its not that i was too "lazy" to watch the tutorial, its that i just work better with text.
Anyway, i apologize for making people angry. i was just in a bad mood that day.
