lol im about 45% completed. just have to script & populate the final 1/3 of the map, then refine with the cutscenes & such. since atm the second you play the map. everyone would go wtf???? >:D

my spring break sucks cuz this thursday my grandpas have a procedure done and it's like a sure chance hes gonna die on the operating table...

also I WOULD compete in this but I can't open b30 in sapien cuz of exceptions so Ima play all your guys' maps!

Alright, then the deadline is May 1st. That should give us enough time to enjoy the maps before the Reach BETA is released and consumes our attention completely.

I had the misfortune to only stumble upon this topic this morning. Ah well, at least the deadline is extended to the 1st of May; enough time for me to create a competent level. And coincidentally, I've started on a b30 BSP level to experiment with my tagset; I can brush it up and create a deeper storyline. Speaking of competency, who are the judges? Only you?

all the competitors judge eachother? vote system, except you cant vote ur own?

Allow everyone to vote on whatever. Whoever win's, wins. You can do this on modacity, theres a poll you can make on a thread unlike this site.

Yeah, but Modacity has a bit of an atrocity when it comes to people's opinions. Though their opinion may seem valid, they may also completely curse out the creator in an attempt to show superiority and to look funny.

Voting will be done by every user here at Halomaps.org. This site is legitimately moderated and the judging system would not work well with a poll since it's relatively in need of details and numbers, not bar length and percentages. In other words, read the front page.

If you changed the finish date to May 1st, you should change that date in your first post.

You HAVE to use at least one of them. If you don't, then no dice. However, I'm no longer preventing you from using other BSPs to exemplify your SP levels.

Seems like you don't like modacity much, having a simple poll for the people to vote on would work. This site is no where near as moderated as modacity and no being able to keep track of the votes it will become unorganized.

Actually, counting votes is as simple here as there. Voting is not like "I THINK ITS GOOD" in this contest. Voting is done by scoring. The map with the best scores wins. For example:

Technical:
-AI: 8
-UI: 10
-Cutscenes: 10

Gameplay:
Fun: 9
Creativity/Originality: 7
Strategy: 8

Functionality:
Effective Weaponry: 10

^This is how Judging/Voting will be done. If you don't like it, well tough. Everyone will vote this way. This is the format in which voting will be done.

Why b30 may I ask? It basically bungie tag dumping ground, plus anytime I run sapien with a campign maps it frezze and shut down. I feel like, just watching this upfold into what I think is going to happen...

The campaign maps have errors in their geometry, atleast some of them do. B30 happens to be one of those maps.

Rogue thank you for telling me that, I really didn't know that actually. I remember one time it load but sapein said it was curropted.

It's Rouge, and you're welcome. I don't know how to fix the errors, probably with 3DS Max, but I'm sure you can download fixed ones somewhere.

If you use the latest HEK+, then you will rarely have problems. And when I say rarely, I mean, freaking rarely.

make a new scenario. fill in the sky, item collection put NONE. then go to the bottom put in the bsp or bsps open sapien and it works!

uh im sorry to inform you DarkHalo. But ive decided to drop out of the competition. Since ive made the decision to use the story that I was going to use in my b30mod, to use it instead on custom bsps that would hopefully fit better than b30's. Once again sorry and I hope for the best in all your mods. I'll be looking at those ;)
