I guess that this question could be quick or slow. So here I go. Is there a way to create a button that will activate moving scenery? Your playing campaign or multiplayer, and you come across a button. you walk near it and a message pops up on your screen saying "press "e" to activate". You press it, and something like an elevator starts to play its animation. I have looked around for a tutorial, but I could not find one.

you can not make a animated scenery turn on when you hit a switch.
but you can make a machine move when you hit the switch.

Yeah, it would have to be a device_machine, and I don't have any experience with those.

(scenery_animation_start )

Never tried it but that might get what you need. I'd use a device machine though.
