Mostly those who put it in the wrong directory (you put it in the wrong directory, if you didn't get the hint).

In windows explorer, check your tags\h3\characters\shaders folder, and see if those shaders are inside. If you don't even have a h3\characters\shaders folder, you put the spartan in the wrong place.

i messed with this a little for someone else on here but i never found a fix. i just replaced it with another smoke that's in the same folder. it was causing an exception beforehand
