How'd you like to play T&R dashing across the enclosed corridors whilst shredding enemies with an assault rifle an an SMG?

Well, I'm thinking of making a map with gameplay going to be like that in The Package. I'll make it 5 minutes to complete your objective, which is to assassinate the shipmaster while he's passing through the cargo bay. And I mean assassinate.

Think of it as the Warthog run, except you aren't in a Warthog. I'm asking you guys if you like the idea, because I don't want to waste effort on something that isn't worth it.

Hmmm..... i like it it's like a warthog run but You're the Warthog!! increase the jump and have it a lower time limit for each difficulty.

Actually, I'm planning on disabling the jump. It's a run through, not an obstacle course. There won't be much crates or debris lying around. But still, I'm reconsidering.

The assassination part would be difficult, since things are in chaos, so the shipmaster would probably be running around, but then again I could replace it with a sword duel, and I probably would.

Unless it's a cutsscene the sword duel won't work other than sidestep and hit. You could do it like the level oracle in halo 2! you both fly out on a banshee and you shoot his down, then you have to kill him.

Actually, I assume it would. First to hit wins. Plasma swords can cut through almost anything short of armor, I believe.

I make a player_enable_input 0 command to let the player and the elite wait for a few seconds, then I make a very small delay before the elite attacks. It will be very short but possible to beat.

There'll be parrying, too. As we all know, HCE swords fire an invisible but powerful projectile with a very limited range, about that of a melee. Now what I'll do is make it spawn a scenery with a hitbox but no model, so it will act as an invisible "shield". It would be there for the duration of your attack, and would supposedly be just behind the projectile's maximum range. But you would probably say "but the shield would spawn where the projectile is". I would make the detonation effect spawn both the shield and make it have a damage effect attached. That way, anybdoy who makes contact with the shield takes damage, and dies in one "hit".

Energy shields...

I'm having trouble looking for the normals.gbxmodel. If someone could help me find it or give me a copy, please do. ahobo won't let me open a50.

then stick an Energy sword through his head.

I'd prefer the "dance with the devil" approach. Except you're dancing with swords.
