Thansk for helping in advance... Total n00b here.

I've got a dedicated Halo server running - the old school Halo 1 for PC. The folder is c:\HaloServer

First problem... I downloaded Yoyorast Island V2.map and put it in the C:\HaloServer\Maps folder.

Then I edited the init.txt file to include that map... but it just says Error Unknown Map. Is that map not for my version of Halo or do I have to put it in some other folder???

Next...

I'm trying to adjust the number of vehicles in BloodGulch. So I ran my actual game copy of Halo, made a new game type with just 1 vehicle of each type and saved it. The saved file goes into

C:\Users\Steve\Documents\My Games\Halo\savegames

In that folder I found a folder called MyCustomGame

Now... I edit my init.txt file

sv_name "Halo_CE"
sv_public 1
sv_maxplayers 12
sv_mapcycle_timeout 15
sv_rcon_password password
sv_mapcycle_add bloodgulch MyCustomGame
sv_mapcycle_begin

But the game still has 4 of everything.

I'm guessing I've got to put the custom game inside the HaloServer folder somewhere? But where?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks very much.

Don't you need to use HCE for custom content? Not regular Halo.

Yes. The original Halo PC will not support custom anything. Which is why halo Custom Edition had to be made.
