if I run it normally it sits on a black screen, no audio, no menu.
My resolution is 1680 by 1050, so its running in a standard 800 by 600. when I ctrl alt del a white box is taking up like half of the left monitor (dual monitors) rest is still black. When I run with desktop composition disabled, it shows the boot splash but stays, and agian no audio. Same with compatability mode, and admin. |

try disabling anti-aliasing from your video card's control panel.
CE doesn't like AA. |

If sargejohnson's post didn't help try this if you have a dual or quad core processor http://www.vistax64.com/gaming/197915-setting-processor-affinity-made-easy.html. I don't really know if this will help at all. I don't have windows 7.

Setting affinity for Halo CE doesn't change anything. You'd only do that if you were using Sapien.
