If you were using the tool he had all you would need to do is;

1)Unwrapp the model
2)Use Render to Texture to out put the diffuse for use in Guerilla

There is a way to paint in max now that you could use to create a mask for environmental shaders.

1)Create and Unwrapp Model
2)Add Vertex Paint modifier to the stack
3)Apply a Vertex Color material to the object
4)Render to texture! Ta-DA!

There may be an easier way to do that, but I've never truly applied it so don't really know any other way to use it.

3ds max = 3D Design.
Photoshop/Gimp = 2D Design.

yes i know, i was making a example. i was saying that there was a free alternative to body-paint 3d(used for textureing 3d modeles by painting them) like there is a free alternative to say 3esmax(GMAX) or photoshop(Gimp)....do u get it now?]

and ps, photohsop allows for 3d textureing/painting as well, so its jsut not 2d.....u bum :P
but its "painting" tools for 3d are lacking.....

Are you using CS3 or CS4? I haven't started working with CS4 yet but I know they we working on the 3d capabilities that were introduced in CS3. Do you know if you paint in Photoshop if it will recognizes the UVs?

Either way there are plenty of 3d apps that do this much better then Max;
ZBrush
Mudbox
Bodypaint3d

Though 2010 they did try to direct it more towards gaming so they may have adjusted the painting features.

HaloPro if you would like me to demonstrate what I was talking about I'll see about making a tutorial.
