When testing a map I am working on, I've found that the sniper rifles AI Actors are carrying on the server side, don't show up on the client side PC, and the Actors just walk around apparently carrying nothing. On the other hand, assault rifles AI Actors are carrying on the server side, do show up on the client side PC.

That's proof that AI don't sync.

I realize they don't sync...the sniper rifles just don't appear in their hands like the assault rifles do.

That happened when I was playing with "syncing" AI oh so long ago. In the map, there was only one AI. On the test computer, there were two AIs, but one of them had no weapon, and didn't move. You can't fix this, as fixing it would require syncing the AI.

In this case, where there are 6 sniper rifle carrying AI on the server PC, on the clientside there are 12 AI, none carrying a rifle, although six are running around posed as if they are carrying a gun, but with nothing in their hands.

It's because AI don't sync. If they work on the server, but not the client, then THIS IS EVIDENCE THAT AI DO NOT SYNC.

I thought there might be a weapon setting creating a problem, since if a similar actor varient is carrying an assault rifle, this does not happen.

If it works on the server side, but just not on the client side, there's nothing you can do about it.

I am going to fiddle with it some and see if changing the weapon type, or biped makes a difference. It makes absolutely no sense why the AI with assault rifles are seen carring their weapons on both server and client, but not the sniper rifle.

Seems to be the only Actor/weapon type on several mods I've made that don't appear to have their weapon in hand on the client PC. I test the maps out by loading it starting the server on my desktop, and joining on my laptop.

It's because AI DO NOT, AND WILL NOT sync. The fact is, no matter what you do, there will ALWAYS be problems involving AI and clients.
