well, we all know that the ammo stocks in Halo are counted as individual rounds, not individual magazines.
Now I checked the "wastes rounds when reloading". But still, I'd like to make your HUD display the amount of magazines left rather than the amount of rounds left to lessen the illusion that you're wasting lots of rounds(which is 60) and instead try to tell you that it's just a magazine wasted.
How, if possible? I know CMT did this with the Flamethrower in H2 Coagulation, but hey, it's a flamethrower, which works differently than the usual rifle.

Yea the flamethrower is heaps different, what your looking for is most likely in the weapon_hud_interface tags, id say you would have to do something with the "number elements" part of the tag, its normally attached to the "total ammo", but theres no "total clips" option so im not sure...
in the weapon tag, try changing the rounds per shot to 0, and have each clip use ageing, and get about 60 rounds to a "battery", and change rounds reloaded to one, so each time you reload only one goes down, then the number would essentially represent the clips/batteries rather than the total ammo, but you would also have to lower the total and initial rounds so you dont have hundreds of clips. You would also have to make the ammo metre in the hud tag be attached to the age instead of rounds loaded.
What im saying probably doesnt make sense, but if you give me the weapon tag and the hud tag, i could try and do it for you. Edited by Gravemind on Jan 7, 2010 at 02:50 AM

But I'm working with ammo counters like the Assault Rifle's. You think it'd work?
And I do get what you're saying, except it's a bit too complicated for me to do. Edited by PX173 on Jan 7, 2010 at 03:37 AM

Well its good that you get what i mean, coz usually i make no sense, and it shouldnt have any problem with the ammo counter in the HUD, but im not sure about the one on the actual AR, although if you change it to be the percentage of the current clip (battery in this case), it might work
edit: i tried it, and it all works except you cant reload the battery, and i cant think of how cmt could have done it... I guess you'd have to ask one of them Edited by Gravemind on Jan 7, 2010 at 07:46 AM
