okay, i have been playing Halo 2 online for quite a long time, and i decided to set up my own dedicated server.
i installed the dedicated server clients and other stuff it needed from the Halo 2 disc, then i tried to run the server.
At first everthing went fine : i set up my product key and entered my LIVE silver account username and password and LIVE accepted. Then, when the server was connecting to LIVE, it initially said "signing in", then it said "reconnecting" before finally saying "offline - waiting to reconnect".
I have more or less tried everthing that may have solved the problem : attempting over and over again to make the server sign-in to LIVE, opening ports and port-forwarding, running Halo 2 server as admin and adding it as exception to windows firewall, even directly connecting my computer to the modem (which made my comp lose internet connection immediately). I also tried running it as a service. All of it failed.

can someone give me an idea on how to fix this?
