Hello all and happy New Year!

anyways I'm having problems with some tags for my map

I've downloaded the Wasp public tags http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1616

and I've put them inside Sapien and tested them out on my map, but they wouldn't allow me to drive it, I'm guessing i need to do something in guerilla, but since I'm fairly new to mapping, I would like some help with it, I've gotten a Video Tut by Halo Guru for the basic of map making and using guerilla and sapien. I'm just using the basic HEK set and 3ds Max 2010 also

Another thing would be with scenery tags, i've downloaded http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=4592

those 3 towers for the fun of being in my map, but 2 of the tag files has a "glitch" as where i walk into it and its not a solid figure, any idea's why?

For the wasp, it seems like the driver seat label doesnt match the animation tag for chief, in guerilla, open the "wasp.vehicle" tag and in the seats section there should be a box with something like "wasp_driver" as the driver seat label, change it to "W-driver" or "G-driver" and it should allow you to drive it. As for the sniper towers, my guess is that the two "glitched" towers have a missing collision model or arent linked to it properly, open the .scenery tag for the tower in guerilla and chech the "collision model" box near the top

alright I got the wasp's to work, now for the towers, 2 of them are missing the collision model like you said, so how do I get them? I don't have the the designs or data models of it, just the tags

If the collision models werent in the file you downloaded, you cant do much but ask the creator to fix it, but if they are in there somewhere, just open the scenery tag, and at the collision model part, click browse and choose the collision model that matches the tower. (Dont choose the collision model from a different tower or it will be stuffed up in-game)

EDIT: I just downloaded it and had a look, the collision models arent there at all, and in one of the pics it says that there were collision model problems with two of them, so theres not really much that can be done

You could always import the gbx model and make your own collision for it.

I'll try that, once i get that done, i should have all the scenery tags done, then i'll need to figure out why my guns won't respawn either...

You need to make .item_collections for weapons to spawn in mp.

You need to make .item_collections for weapons to spawn in mp.

If you dont know how to do this, in guerilla, goto File>New then choose "item_collection" group.
Then in the new window, click "add" under permuations, then set the drop-down box (next to "item") to say weapon, and browse for your weapon tag. You dont need to worry about the weight setting unless you have more than one weapon/item in the collection tag. (weight is how likely that permuation will be chosen). The spawn time is self explanitory.

All you have to do then is add it into the game.

It won't show up in sapien, but it will spawn in halo, but only if you look at the .item collection, and click on the scroll down box named "type 0," make it be all games, or if you want it to be only on a specific gametype, click that instead.

If there is only one weapon in the item collection set the weight to 100. The "weight" is the chance of the item collection being that weapon or power-up.
