I tried to compile a timberland variant with lots of weapons, bipeds (dummies), and vehicles using tool++. I don't think it was a missing or corrupt tag. I just put vehicles and bipeds on it and played around with the scenery. Accidentally made a new instance in the AI\scripts folder but I deleted the instance.
Vehicles 1 Npelican 2 bulldogs 2 kagotanks 2 c_dropships 1 Tachikoma orange 1 Tachikoma
Bipeds like 20 sentinels 9 Floodcarriers 2 Elite Special cinematics 2 Elite specials 2 Elites 2 Grunt Specops 2 Grunts 2 Jackel Majors 3 Flood Combat Elites 4 Engineers
I also overwrite tags a lot using HEK plus. I don't know if that would cause a Exception.

I also overwrite tags a lot using HEK plus. I don't know if that would cause a Exception. try opening any other map, and if it exceptions, put the last paragraph of debug.txt here. if the other maps do work and open in sapien. then remove each of the vehicles in your map and try opening in sapien to see which vehicle caused the exception. After removing all vehicles and the map still exceptions, take out the bipeds one by one to see which one exceptions too. note: delete the vehicle instances BEFORE deleting the ones in the vehicle pallete, do it the other way round and exceptions galore. And . try not to overwrite tags with HEK+ unless really necessary, because overwriting the wrong tags WILL make other maps exception and cause errors. It must be your overwritten tags. Try to get into the habit of not overwriting tags. I guess the only way is to reinstall Halo Editing Kit NOT Halo Custom Edition

I did what he wrote, well in a different way (I put all the vehicles and bipeds in a different map and I can compile that map fine). However in the map that I can't compile I did delete a few vehicles in the palette before deleting the instances. i said that you have to delete ALL INSTANCES of the particular vehicle from the map BEFORE deleting the suspect vehicle from the map's vehicle pallete. Looks like you did it the other way round.
now, you have to delete ALL INSTANCES of the vehicle and all other vehicles (not the ones in the vehicle palette). See if the map opens properly in sapien now.

ok then. but if he cant compile, then tool must have said something about why this is so. suggest you try compiling the map, then when tool halts, copy and paste whatever it says here. Do not look in the debug.txt though, the error rarely shows up in there.
