ok so my buddy just gave me his dell dimesion 3000 and i want to put new gfx card in it and i want to know of a good card thats about 30 bucks and it has to be the old pci not express

look for a radeon there the best i believe and if some one dares say nvidia is better they are socialists!

exactly you staed my point i got a nice radeon card for 45 bucks while the same exact nvidia card costed about 100 bucks. so i'd sugest Radeon cards great quality and way cheaper.

uh, nvidia is better, because nvidia, unlike radeon, doesn't completely suck.
while it may cost more, at least you got what you paid for.

actualy not true Valve which has the best pc graphical games asks the person to have Radeon cards. Nvidia is a good card company only thing though is they cost more for the same exact thing.

Crysis doesn't require a NVIDIA. It does have NVIDIA in the loading screen though.

Never heard of a 30 dollar graphics card, unless you want an older/used model.

You can get a NVIDIA 8600 for 30 bucks. That's what my older laptop used, which you criticized for having "high graphics" :P

If you're referring to the first part of my post, search on google. If you're referring to the second part, it's when we were chatting, and I said "brb. gotta go play crysis", and you were like "dag nab your fancy computer with good graphics" or something like that.

thank you for all of your help ill probly get a nvidia cause thats what in ma laptop and i like it but i dont know yet and um crysis doesnt have to nvidia or raedon i have played the game on an intel gpu

i cant 2gb is the max and its already there i am going to get a new 3.0ghz p4 for the thing

Also if it doesn't have fans, I recommend getting some and if it does I recommend more (At least 3 total if possible). One thing you can never slack on unless you install them wrong. I've had problems before due to overheating.

iF your getting a new video card. Your going to have to get a new PSU ( power supply unit). If its a really high end card, get a 450-650W psu. Anything less will have some problems.

Anything nVidia 6400 (6200 at the minimum) and up is good.

and my Radeon 9550 can play all the newest games on high graphics with no lag and it was only 40 bucks.
