I tried using it for a SP map, and got an exception.

Does it work when putting in -console -devmode instead of using my app?

*edit: which would be totally retarded because my app does the exact same thing as putting in -console and -devmode, except in realtime.

I had -console on already when I got the exception, and thought that would be the problem. I took it off and tried it again, but still got the exception. I'm downloading another SP map now, and if it gives me an exception again, theres something up.

Here's an idea, piss off. So I don't want to have a virus infect my computer for the umpteenth phukking time. Is that too much to ask for?
I also don't one some random guy calling my house either. I think that's a reasonable excuse. You people may just blow it off when your parents and school teachers say "Be safe on the internet," but they're telling you for a phukking reason.

Lol, if you don't want viruses, just virus scan every file you download that you don't trust... Simple.

You can, but MP maps aren't designed for map_name.

Okay, I tried it on a different map and it loaded it perfectly (a SP map). I'm gonna re-download B40_firefight and see if it's messed up still. If it is, it may not be compatible.

E: Still an exception. Seems, it's not compatible with all maps.

Hate to tell you, but map_name works without dev mode even on. You don't need dev on to use that command.

anyone got a link fo rthis b40 firefight? i want to see if it's any good? also for map_name and Sp's i suggest using the -devmode part in target for Sp and map name.

You don't need dev mode for SP unless your cheating.

lol... map_name command does not need devmode to use
only when setting the game difficulty is it needed.

l2 pattern scan. App's not worthy of release until it can detect dev addy in 2 versions below intended version.
