Ive been trying to open up a10 in sapien and trying different things in guirilla to get it to work can anyone help?

and yes i have ripped every single player level from hpc like people say to do.

Uh oh.

This is an impossible error to fix.

I know this, I had it before.

THE ONLY WAY to fix it is if ask someone for the following tags:

normal.gbxmodel
fire.gbxmodel
move.gbxmodel

Those models need their respective bitmaps and whatnot.

Since I'm nice I'll send you those items, give me a moment and Ill put them on mediafire.

now im getting this?

Now it looks like something is wrong with the Sapien.exe file (whatever version your using that is)

If it's a modified exe (ahobo, OS_sapien, etc) try replacing it.

If it's the regular Sapien.exe, you have two options (At least from what I can tell)

1. Get the exe from someone else (Ill put that up too to see if that is the case)

And if that doesnt work, then I am afraid you will have to reinstall HEK. Lets hope that isnt the option you have to take.

BEFORE YOU DO THIS, What version of Sapien are you using?

ive tried all 3 different ones (sapien, ahobo, and e3p0 v2) they all get the same error

i have it lol but everyone says its my sapien.exe thats a problem

Before you do reinstall HEK, make sure you rename your tags folder to tags.old, itll save your tags from getting deleted :)

i just reinstalled it in the first place so why would it be corrupt? it was already corrup i uninstalled hce and hek deleted the folder started over and now im getting these errors so why should i need to reinstall hek again i can open other maps just not any campaign maps.

If it's just campaign maps why didnt you say that in the first place :P

Then its obviously a corrupted scenario. Reextract it with Hek Plus

So does anyone know what the problem is?

I posted that before, and no one knew the answer. To fix it, I overwrote all of my tags by recursively extracting the map. When I replaced my backed up tags, it caused the same exception again. I actually did find out which tags were causing the problem, but it took my entire afternoon, so I won't really go into it.

So i installed windows 7 and ripped everything and now i can open the map i didnt have to delete any animations or vehicles or anything! Windows 7 did i think cause i had so many problem with hce when i used vista or xp

I had this impossible issue and the ONLY way is to get someone who can open a10 in their sapien to send you their tags folder. that WILL fix it.

And how did they fix it? It's not like Gearbox / Bungie took the time to give out their tags folder to someone, and have it get passed around all over the internet. I fixed it by recursively extracting a10, overwriting existing tags.
