How do I make theses? Do they have to be planes? How do I set up the shader?
I really want to know this, help would be greatly apreciated.

make a plane and make it render only Set it about .1 in away from the textures. then copy a10's lighting (Fluorescent.shader_environment). Then you can switch the color of the emitted light and the strength from that. And other things.

Do you mean the power, color of emitted light and the tint color? I have changed these multiple times, but it is not working right.
Also do they HAVE to be planes, because mine is more of a cylinder.

No. As a matter a fact it can be part of the bsp and not be render only, but then you will have to follow the sealed world rule still. I don't see why it wouldn't be working right. Did you copy over a10's shader though and rename it to fit your texture?

Run radiosity in sapien instead of tool and see if it works. Tool doesn't like lights.

I usually always just run radiosity in sapien. Is there really a difference where it run?

Ok. The "outdoor ambient radiosity power" and "indoor ambiant radiosity power" will affect the main lighting, as well as "power and diameter" in radiosity settings at bottom. Tool will do radiosity correctly, just do tool lightmaps levels\map\map map 0 0.001
